Job Description
- The Business Development Officer is responsible for the origination of new business transactions, the development and management of new business referral sources, and establishing the company’s reputation and competitive position in line with its customer value proposition.
- The Business Development Officer plays an integral role in the initial prescreening, structuring, and pricing of prospective new deals and continues to drive the transaction with the support of underwriters and account executives through the due diligence, underwriting, and documentation process.
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record selling commercial finance products and will have a developed referral network, active referral source.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience in ABL Lending (preferable), Commercial Banking, Private Debt Lending, or Investment Banking, secured senior loan, middle market, and/or corporate lending with a proven external calling and deal generation background.
- A familiarity in credit analysis, deal structuring, transaction negotiation, and closing.
- Oriented toward a deal-driven environment and be capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
